How to Generate Reports

     Various backup reports are provided by ITC via this Web site to allow system administrators to be aware of how and when filesystems on their machines are being backed up. Select one of the following report types:

     After the type of report has been selected, select one of the following methods of specifying which machines to run a report for:

All - All machines configured into the backup system.

All in a specified domain - A menu of possible domains is presented. Select one or more domains.   Domain here refers to the second element in the full domain name of a machine, after ".virginia.edu" has been stripped off. For example, the domain for "zertx.dom.virginia.edu" is "dom", and for "uzertx.virginia.edu" is a null string, represented in the menu by "NULL". A report is run for all machines in the specified domains.

Individual machines - A menu of possible machine names is presented. Select one or more machine names.

     When making multiple selections from menus, you may have to depress the Control key while clicking items, if you are using an Internet Explorer or Netscape browser on a Windows platform.
